Wayfinders show an overview of rooms, with the status and current bookings. Much like you are use to in airports, but now in your own office!
A wayfinder is configured in the portal and consists of a name and the rooms you want to show on the wayfinder.
You need a wayfinder-profile to configure how the wayfinder is visualized.
After that you create a device, and choose the wayfinder-profile and the wayfinder.
Log in to the BrightBooking portal with your manager account, and choose Settings > Wayfinders.
Now add a new wayfinder with the '+' button, or select an existing one to edit.
Configure a wayfinder
When you add or edit a wayfinder, you can change the setting of that specific wayfinder.
A wayfinder has a name, which is used within BrightBooking (to link the wayfinder to a device, etc.).
The language is used when the wayfinder is shown on a display, and by default this is the same as your default language, but if needed you can change it to use a different language.
The title and subtitle you enter is shown at the top of the wayfinder when visualized.
You should link the rooms you want to show on the wayfinder.
After linking a room you can re-order the rooms, to change the order of the rooms to your linking.
In most cases you want to select an arrow to indicate the direction relative to the positioning of the wayfinder display. E.g. when standing before the display showing wayfinder, you need to go left to go to the boardroom. In this case you should assign a 'left arrow' to the linked room 'boardroom'.
The order and icon are used when the wayfinder is shown at the display.
Wayfinder display profile configuration
The wayfinder profile hold shared settings for the wayfinders you use.

The device settings configures the device in case the wayfinder is shown on a certified device (applicable if the wayfinder is shown on certified hardware). It is advised to secure the access to the settings on the device itself, and schedule a daily reboot.
The 'visualisation' settings define if details about the room (capacity, options, subject, organizer) should be shown on the wayfinder.
The 'display mode' setting has the 'rows' or the 'blocks' option, and the amount or rows/columns to show. The wayfinder will automatically scale to the resolution, you might need to tweak the amount of rows/columns for correct visualization.
The 'page duration' defines the amount of seconds a page should be shown. The wayfinder automatically creates pages, if the amount of rooms do not fit on one page.
The following display mode settings are advised:
- Display mode - rows: landscape: 3 to 10 rows
- Display mode - rows: portrait: 10 rows
- Display mode - blocks: landscape: 4 columns, 1 row
- Display mode - blocks: portrait: 2 columns, 2 rows
Screen on/off settings
The screen on/off settings configure when the device should turn the display on and off, in case the wayfinder is shown on a certified device (applicable if the wayfinder is shown on certified hardware).
